The Nir Am Kibbutz, home to 650 residents, including 200 families and 110 children, faces the constant threat of missile attacks. Residents have just 15 seconds to find shelter when danger strikes.
At the heart of the Kibbutz is a multipurpose building, a vital gathering place for the community. However, it lacked bomb and missile protection, until now. Thanks to generous donations from JNF Australia’s 2024 annual campaign, the building will soon be fortified, providing a secure refuge for the community with a library, leisure rooms, learning areas, cultural event spaces, and lecture halls.
