The restoration of the Holit Playground, is an important step in Kibbutz Holit’s recovery. A small but resilient community, Kibbutz Holit has faced ongoing security threats, and despite these challenges, its members have maintained strong unity and self-sufficiency.
The October 7, 2023, Hamas attack devastated the Kibbutz, leaving 15 members dead, six critically injured, and many buildings destroyed. Rebuilding both the community and its infrastructure is now a top priority.
A central gathering place for the community, it has become a symbol of hope. The new playground will offer children a safe space to play, explore, providing much-needed joy and normalcy in the wake of the attack.
“We didn’t realise how much this project would lift the spirits of the kibbutz members,” said Oren Zvada, a member of the Holit planning committee. “The children’s happiness is one of the most important things to return to Holit. Thank you for helping us with this.”
