Rabbi Menny is an exceptional contributor to community. Growing up in London, England, as one of ten siblings, He learned the value of service early by helping his parents run their Chabad community centre in Hendon. At just 13, He moved abroad – first to Israel and then to the United States – to pursue his studies. Those years shaped his sense of responsibility and deepened his passion for guiding others.

Following his studies, He served as a Madrich (youth mentor) in various Yeshivot, where he had the privilege of working with teens and young adults searching for meaning and direction. It was in these transformative years that he completed his Rabbinical Ordination in Tzfat, Israel — training not only in Torah leadership but also in the art of listening, guiding, and inspiring young people.

In 2018, he moved to Sydney, Australia, where he worked to strengthen and invigorate the Jewish community of Double Bay. Soon after, he joined Jewish House, a crisis centre, as a community support worker. For a year and a half, he supported individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments, walking alongside them with compassion and practical help. His experiences there deepened his understanding of mental health and community resilience and inspired him to pursue further study.

In May 2020, Menny and his wife Clara relocated to Melbourne to run Aliya Youth Space. Aliya is a youth support drop-in center for Jewish teens and young adults – a place of mentorship, creativity, and belonging. Aliya provides a safe space to find direction, overcome challenges and explore identity & faith.

Menny also teaches at Yeshivah College in learning enhancement, sharing both traditional learning and life guidance with the next generation.

He recently completed a diploma of Community Services in Mental Health.

From London to Tzfat, Pennsylvania to Melbourne – Menny’s driving force has been one mission: to empower, connect, and uplift others. Whether mentoring vulnerable teens, supporting people in crisis, or building meaningful spaces for young Jews, He strives to nurture resilience, inspire growth, and build a stronger, more caring community.
