We are delighted to welcome Moira Blumenthal, a South African-born theatre artist whose love for storytelling has shaped her life and career.
From performing in school plays as a child to becoming a leading voice in Sydney’s theatre scene, Moira has always been drawn to stories that connect people and preserve cultural memory. She will share the journey of bringing a play to life – from the first spark of an idea to seeing it performed on stage – and draw on her experience directing meaningful Jewish-themed productions, including The Violins of Hope (2023), The God of Isaac (2019), The Man in the Attic (2018).
Moira will also reflect on the challenges of balancing creative ambition with audience expectations, the important role of Jewish storytellers today, and her exciting plans for 2026, including staged readings that invite audiences to help shape the story.
Don’t miss this chance to see stories come alive with Moira Blumenthal. Book now!
