Emotional First Aid
ERAN is an Israeli lifesaving volunteer organization that provides mental health first-aid to all residents of Israel in emotional distress, by telephone and online via chat & WhatsApp, free of charge, anonymously and confidentially. A person in crisis, mental distress, or contemplating suicide, will find in ERAN a reassuring voice and emotional help. ERAN’s mission is to “be there” for all people in need 24 hours a day all year round.
ERAN operates as a central national body in the field of primary Hotline for Emotional First Aid 24/7, takes part in national and international projects in the field of mental health, well-being, and national resilience. The range of referrals to the ERAN’s services is wide and includes dealing with stress, anxiety and trauma, loneliness, grief and loss, relations related problem, sexual abuse, self-harm, depression, violence & abuse, boycott & bullying, adolescent crises, Financial stress, eating disorders, self-image and sexual identity, parental issues, addictions and Suicide ,holocaust survivors, soldiers in active military service and more.

The surge in demand for Eran’s services since Oct 7th 2023 created a need for an operations emergency center to provide faster and more coordinated responses. The center will have state-of-the art technology to ensure effective operations and will bring together individuals from various sectors, including mental health, logistics, IT, and more, to streamline emergency response. The center will set a new standard for emergency preparedness and response with innovative technology. This includes advanced communication systems, real-time data analysis, and other creative tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
We believe this centre will create significant advantages for our organization and the communities that we serve, such as, enhancing the communities’ resilience during emergencies, significantly improve response times and effectiveness, while saving lives and reducing the impact of disasters.
The centre will bring together individuals from various sectors, including mental health, logistics, IT, and more, to streamline emergency response.
