BLUE BOX
Be’er Sheva Youth Centre
For over a century, money raised in Blue Boxes has assisted Zionist pioneers in their efforts to build the infrastructure of a modern,
thriving State.
Today, the Blue Box remains a powerful symbol of Jewish unity and a reminder of the part every Jew can play in strengthening Eretz Israel.
Be’er Sheva Youth Centre
Youth Centre Renovation in Gimel Neighbourhood
For 122 years, funds raised through the Blue Box have been instrumental in, amongst other things, the developing, building, and greening of the arid Negev.
This Pesach, with your support, JNF will continue to help the people of Be’er Sheva. The city of Be’er Sheva chose in its strategic plan for the next 10 years to put the young people as a target audience in the focus because they are at heart of the demographic issue and due to their value as the growth engine of the city.
The Youth Centre was established in early 2000 and serves around 6,000 young people aged 18-35 every year leading processes at the municipal and national level. The centre provides services to all of the city’s youth and the entire region about 70,000, from released soldiers, students, academics, job seekers, social entrepreneurs, young parents and new immigrants. It is specialized in 3 main areas: higher education, employment and career/community development.
The current structure of the center was built about 20 years ago and it was not possible to predict the significant increase in volume of activity, in the staff needed at the centre – today 14 staff members and 30 interns work at the centre.
With your support today, we can promote the growth and prosperity of this exciting, ground-breaking metropolis.
Thank you for your support to secure the future of Israel’s South.
