For Blue Box Rosh Hashana 2025, JNF is raising funds for two vital projects: the Community Healing Gardens in Netiv Ha’asara and the Environmental Rehabilitation Project in Kibbutz Malkiya.
Netiv HaAsara is a small agricultural community on the Gaza border. On October 7th, the devastating terror attack changed so many lives forever. Since that dark day, the community has been on a long and challenging journey of recovery—physically, emotionally, and socially.
As families slowly return to their homes, there is an urgent need to create spaces of calm, warmth, and resilience—places that restore a sense of belonging and nurture both the land and the spirit. Out of this need, a vision has been born: “Between the Olive Trees”—a serene communal garden designed to foster healing, reflection, and connection. This green sanctuary will stand as a symbol of resilience, providing comfort and emotional recovery.
On the Lebanon border, Kibbutz Malkiya, over 400 residents – live under constant threat. Their dream is to create a therapeutic haven for Healing Through Shared Cultivation. For them, true rehabilitation means returning to routine and building new places of hope that lift the spirit, renew resilience, and allow both heart and soul to heal.
At the core of both these projects is a powerful mission: environmental rehabilitation is human rehabilitation. These gardens and healing spaces are not simply about restoring physical surroundings—they are about restoring hope, dignity, and the unwavering determination to continue building, creating, and growing.
