Trixie is a passionate and hardworking year 12 student. Within the King David School Trixie leads the Jewish Life leadership group, facilitating and organising Jewish festival events and weekly Shabbat tefillah. She is dedicated and a respected leader by her peers and is looked up to by younger students. She has mentored many of the year 6 and 7 students in facilitating Shabbat tefillah and writing and presenting drash each week. She also participated in the Building Bridges program with students from interfaith schools, representing the school community. Outside of school Trixie is a ‘Helfer’ leader at SKIF. She dedicates many hours a week to facilitating and leading the youth group to educate on social justice issues and what it means to be Jewish in the diaspora. Trixie plays an ardent role as a leader at SKIF, her ability to engage children and facilitate programs with passion and creativity is exemplary and reflects on her true character. Whilst balancing year 12 and leadership is difficult Trixie shows immense dedication and passion towards leadership and inspiring young people in the community. She is diligent in ensuring members of the community feel welcomed and their voices heard in both SKIF and the King David School. Her commitment to the cause of raising young Jews to feel passionate and proud of their religion and background is galvanising in this time of difficulty for the community. Trixie is a persevering student and leader who will leave a long lasting impact on those around her with her leadership and dedication.
