Speedy is a Jewish changemaker and a game changer. Currently Stand Up’s General Manager of Programs and Engagement, Speedy is an integral part of the team and a key part of our work and achievements. Speedy is passionate about education and inclusive practices within social and professional spaces and leads by example.
Within their role at Stand Up, Speedy is committed to amplifying the voices of diverse communities and inspiring members of the Jewish community of all actions to take action in relation to social justice and tikkun olam. They have led programs and conversations that are focused on building bridges between the Jewish Community and First Nations groups as well as Refugee Communities.
Prior to joining Stand Up, they have had extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and the Jewish community. With previous experience at NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, Sydney Jewish Museum, Board of Jewish Education and JNF, Speedy has shown a commitment to working in the Jewish community and is passionate about contributing to and enhancing a thriving Jewish community. In their role at NSW Jewish Board of Deputies overseeing their social justice branch, they played an integral role in developing Australia’s first LGBTQIA+ Jewish Mentorship Program. As a Jewish, non-binary and transmasculine person, Speedy strives to make Australia a home where everyone feels safe and respected.
