Olivia has made outstanding contributions to the community without expecting anything in return. Olivia joined the Jewish community as a convert in her early 20’s has been an active member of the Jewish community since then. Notably, Olivia has been a central member of ‘Kadimah Pods’ (a branch of Kehillat Kadimah that is specifically focused on young adults aged 23-38.) Not only has she been a founding member of Kadimah pods, but has been a pioneering force in leading the committee (arranging monthly executive meetings, compiling minutes, detailing action points, setting frequent zoom calls to organise & revise events) hands-on organising the events (including shiurim, social shiurim, events for chaggim, young adult minyanim, fundraisers, challah bakes and joint events with other jewish organisations such as WIZO and Australian Jewish Fertility Network), and a big connector, bringing so many young jewish adults together in enriching their sense of community and jewish social connections. Over and above her amazing organisational skills, Olivia is incredibly kind, empathetic, and warm – strengthening her ability to connect to others. She is only wanting to build the jewish community and has never done it to receive anything in return. As a true giver, I think she is an exceptional candidate for the Young Adults Volunteers from 18-36 years old.
