Noah is a 16-year-old Cranbrook Year 10 student who is highly regarded at school as evidenced by his selection as a Year 10 Peer support leader and Year 7 Camp Mentor this year (2023). Noah is also an active member at Maroubra Shule and enthusiastic participant with JEMs at Cranbrook. He is known to be a proud Jewish young man who is always looking to lend a helping hand be it at school, the Shule’s children services or on the beach.
Noah has been involved with surf lifesaving since his time as a nipper in the under 6’s. He is a passionate surf life saver and leader at South Maroubra Surf Club. Since attaining his Surf Rescue Certificate in 2020 Noah has completed 330 volunteer hours on patrol. In 2022/2023 season he completed 110 volunteer hours on patrol as well as being selected to attend the Youth Opportunity Makers (YOM’s) camp, and participating on the Youth Advisory Team (YAT) for Surf Life Saving Sydney (SLSS). SLSS is the administrative arm of Surf Life Saving for the fifteen Surf Life Saving Clubs stretching from North Bondi south to Burning Palms in the Royal National Park. The YAT acted as the youth voice to the board of Surf Life Saving Sydney, they met once a month and discussed all things affecting the youth in the surf lifesaving moveme.3nt.
As a youth leader at South Maroubra Noah is always on hand to help the younger kids fine tune their surf skills at training and during Sunday nippers as water safety. Noah has also graciously given up his weekends to co-facilitate Junior development camps for SLSS, these camps are attended by 120 kids from all over SLSS beaches.
