Julia planned a fun afternoon of netball, organising the event and encouraging her friends to participate, to raise fund for the charity, Dignity. Dignity provides supported temporary accommodation for people experiencing homelessness and provides services to help people at risk of homelessness. Julia has been supporting Dignity since her Batmitzvah.

Julia, in Year 8 at Emanuel School, discussed the Netball Dignity Day with the School’s Deputy Principal and asked her to share the flyer she had designed with the high school students and staff. Julia also approached the Sports Staff to borrow the school’s netball equipment.

Julia and her friends raised almost $1,500 for Dignity. 100% of the funds raised will be used to purchase
items to assist in fitting out the homes.

Julia has shown great initiative at such a young age. She used her skills to organise and run the event, encouraged her peers to join and even brought the Deputy Principal onboard to help her promote the Netball Dignity Day. She is an excellent role model and her commitment to Tikkun Olam is evident in her words and actions.
