It gives me my great pleasure to nominate Amy Forman for the JNF Award for Contribution to the Jewish Community in the Teen category. I have known her for 3 years. Throughout this time, she has been actively volunteering in the Jewish community with Sydney Friendship Circle attending day camps and helping people with disabilities. She has also been volunteering photographer for Mount Sinai College. Throughout this time, she has shown exemplary displays of the Jewish values of tikkun olam. On a regular basis, Amy has been coaching netball after school, where she has been given positive enforcement and instructions to her netball girls. She also coordinates a Jewish program for teens called BBYO (B’nai Brith Youth Organisation). In this program Amy is the co-president and so she helps run and engage and encourage Jewish teens around Sydney to join and have fun in these different programs. Amy also likes to give back to her Jewish community both in and outside of school, Moriah College. Her future ambitions of becoming a teacher will be further enhanced by this award as she has a big heart, and she loves to give back to the community. Hence, I truly recommend Amy Forman for the JNF Award for Contribution to the Jewish Community award within the teen category.
