Adam Marks is exceptionally dedicated to the Sydney Jewish community. Adam’s impactful service journey began as the Youth Director of Mizrachi, and he continued to make a difference as a Madrich at both Bnei Akiva and Moriah College. Adam’s profound commitment is evident through his regular volunteering with organizations such as Friendship Circle and Camp Sababa. His support extends to key roles within the community, including within the NSW chapter of JNFuture, the Holocaust Remembrance group, YouthHear, and his current position as the Jewish Engagement Coordinator for the Australasian Union of Jewish Students. Notably, he conceived and executed the successful Accelerate conference, a two-day program that provided diverse perspectives on Zionism. Professionally, Adam has recently taken on the role of National Youth and Education Manager for StandWithUs Australia. In this capacity, he works tirelessly to combat anti-Semitism and promote education about Israel. Adam’s impact reaches even into the political sphere, demonstrated by his engagement with politicians across the spectrum during a trip to Canberra, addressing matters of significance to the Australian Jewish Community and the broader society. Throughout the past year and a half, Adam’s leadership extended to guiding Moriah students on two Israel trips, as well as his active involvement in various camps, including at Moriah and Masada. Notably, he led the Year 12 camp at Moriah, showcasing his remarkable leadership skills. On a personal note, I have had the privilege of knowing Adam for numerous years. His unwavering commitment to the community continually inspires me. His fervour for the State of Israel, Jewish Education, and their vital role within the Jewish people is truly commendable. Adam possesses a rare talent for articulating his viewpoints clearly and effectively—an essential skill for any leader. Our community is incredibly fortunate to have him as a guiding force.
