Merchav Am’s Sustainable Community Garden
Since the Corona Virus has heavily impacted the families of Merchav Am, the need to become more self-reliant is more relevant now than ever before.
The community is working on ways to become more self-sustainable, and a Community Garden, which can provide fruit and vegetables for their ever-growing community, is a top priority.
The development of a community garden will double as a food-growing space, as well as a much-needed outdoor meeting place, with shaded seating, as well as beautifying and greening an unused area.
The community garden will be located at the area between the temporary neighbourhood, the established neighbourhood, and the new neighbourhood under construction, creating a focal point to bring the entire community together.
With over 500 residents from all over Israel and the world, new infrastructure makes it possible to accommodate existing families and also helps attract new families to move to Merchav Am.
Your support this Green Sunday will help create a sustainable future for Merchav Am and Israel.

Together we are providing a brighter future for Israel’s Negev communities and realising Ben Gurion’s Vision
